Starting in the 2025/2026 season, the famed Ocean Adventurer will take on the name Expedition, carrying forward the legacy of our beloved little red ship that defined our polar adventures for over 15 years.

The new ship serves up a smoother ride, updated interiors, and more room for travellers and crew to connect — all while lowering our carbon footprint per passenger by an estimate of up to 30%.

What’s not changing? The once-in-a-lifetime Antarctica experience, done the G Adventures way. Epic excursions (with every zodiac landing included), a best-in-class expedition team, and unbeatable value that’ll float just about anyone’s boat.

Small ship = more Antarctica – With just 128 passengers, everyone has the opportunity to join twice-daily landings — something larger vessels simply can’t offer. That means more time off the ship, and more of what really matters: being fully immersed in Antarctica’s magic.

Glow-up complete – Extensively refurbished, the ship features new engines, larger social spaces, updated cabins with ensuite bathrooms, and new Deluxe and Owner’s Suites.

Space to connect and kick back – An expanded lounge, barbecue facilities, two jacuzzis, a gym, library, and 24/7 beverage station offer plenty of ways for travellers to relax, recharge, and connect between landings.

Ice-cold confidence – Equipped with top-tier Ice Class 1A technology (compared to 1B of the previous vessel), this ship was built to handle the toughest, iciest polar conditions.
